During my 7 years at Laurentian Publishing, I had the opportunity to work on a number of sites for the company. My responsibility was the development, maintenance of the website, and other individuals would manage the content. Which some sites use a custom Content Management System, others on WordPress or custom coded websites.
The ownership of Laurentian Publishing Ltd products was purchased by Village Media in 2020. Some of the main Web properties remained under the new ownership but were changed to a different platform from when I worked at the company (such as Sudbury.com, Sudbury.com Obituaries, Northern Ontario Business, Northern Ontario Business Awards, Sudbury Mining Solutions, Northern Ontario Medical Journal).
The remaining Web properties were docommissioned (such as Sudbury Living Magazine, Sudbury Wedding Showcase, 40 Under Forty and Influential Women)
We provided some Web services to a few clients during my time at Laurentian Publishing Ltd (such as Ashley Homestore North, Dynamic Insurance Brokers and Lougheed Funeral Homes). The clients have since moved on to other Web service providers.
